About the Company
Our client is a renewable energy developer and asset owner operating at the intersection of clean energy and critical minerals.They are looking for a technically-minded graduate renewable energy engineer (1-2 years' experience) to work alongside the development team with exposure across the full project lifecycle. With a lean and hands-on team, this is an opportunity to work closely with decision-makers and accelerate your learning in a high-impact environment.
You will work across data analysis, system modelling, project design and site activities, with direct involvement in active developments.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and manage software tools including GIS (QGIS), wind (WindPro) and solar (PVsyst) modelling platforms
  • Analyse and interpret wind and solar resource data
  • Support the design of project layouts and preliminary balance of plant concepts
  • Conduct Excel-based analysis for energy yield and project sizing
  • Manage wind and solar measurement equipment and data collection
  • Coordinate and oversee external consultants delivering due diligence and technical studies
  • Support broader project development activities across active assets
  • Travel to project sites across Australia as required
Skills and Experience
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or other technical discipline 
  • ~1-2 years’ experience in a technical, analytical or renewable energy-related role
  • Strong Excel, numeracy and general computer literacy
  • Exposure to Python or similar tools is advantageous
  • Familiarity with GIS, solar or wind modelling tools beneficial (not essential)
  • Curious, proactive and motivated to learn in a fast-paced environment
