We are finding that with the booming population growth in Australia, the country's construction sector is experiencing a period of dynamic change and growth across the residential, health, education, commercial and infrastructure sectors.
The government is currently committed to a $120 billion infrastructure pipeline over the next 10 years and has allocated $300 million in NSW alone to build 4700 new homes with 30% of those homes being affordable housing in the next 2 years.
Due to the shortage of the housing supply and the housing supply expected to surge, there are a variety of market capacity constraints that are inhibiting the ability of the sector in the delivery of these projects. These primarily include approvals, escalating costs and skill shortages which is stagnating productivity.
