Nordex Oceania Pty Ltd is the Australian subsidiary of the Nordex Group, which was established in Australia to further expand the business and offer a truly global presence in all major wind markets in the world. Nordex has been operating in the Australian market for six years with a commendable history of developing local Australian workforce for the Australian wind industry. 


About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced procurement and supply chain leader to take ownership of the sourcing function across Oceania. Reporting into senior leadership, this role will lead regional sourcing strategy, supplier partnerships, commercial negotiations and supply chain risk management, while ensuring alignment with global business strategy and governance.

This is a highly visible leadership role that partners closely with sales, project delivery and global stakeholders to secure competitive, reliable and scalable supply solutions across major renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and develop the regional sourcing team, driving performance, accountability and capability growth.
  • Own the regional sourcing budget, with responsibility for spend visibility, cost optimisation and commercial performance.
  • Partner closely with sales teams during tendering and bid phases to develop competitive sourcing strategies that support project success.
  • Oversee sourcing activities across major equipment packages and local subcontracted scopes.
  • Lead supplier and subcontractor negotiations, securing strong commercial and contractual outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate sourcing and supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply, compliance and operational resilience.
  • Ensure robust sourcing governance across RFQs, supplier selection, contracting and claims management processes.
  • Act as the key regional interface with global sourcing teams, providing clear reporting on performance, risks and opportunities.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience in procurement, sourcing or supply chain leadership within complex project, industrial or infrastructure environments.
  • Exposure to renewable energy, major capital projects, manufacturing or engineering-led businesses will be highly regarded.
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong commercial and contractual acumen, including supplier negotiation, cost optimisation and risk management.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively within complex matrix organisations.
  • Experience supporting tendering, bids or commercial project development is advantageous.
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Economics or a related discipline (further qualifications viewed favourably).
  • Strategic mindset, strong communication skills and the resilience to operate in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
