This role starts as a contract position in mid-May, with strong potential to transition into a permanent role for the right person.
This is a hands-on site role working on a high-profile civil project, requiring a capable Leading Hand who can drive productivity while maintaining strong standards of safety and quality.
The project involves a range of civil works including:
- Bridge works and concrete structures
- Earthworks
- Stormwater pit removal
- Redundant service removal and general civil demolition works
- Leading small crews on daily site activities
- Setting out and checking levels and alignment
- Overseeing formwork, reinforcement, and concrete pours
- Coordinating works around existing services and live conditions
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification
- Maintaining strong communication with supervisors and site engineers
- Proven experience as a Leading Hand in civil construction
- Strong background in structural concrete (bridges, pits, retaining structures, etc.)
- Confident working with levels and basic set-out
- Experience with stormwater works and service removal
- Hands-on approach – not afraid to get on the tools when required
- Reliable, switched-on, and professional in client-facing environments
- Machine tickets (especially excavator)
- Experience on infrastructure or bridge projects
- Background in civil demolition or remediation works
- Immediate start (mid-May)
