About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced EWP Technician / Auto Electrician to join our team in Austral. This is a hands-on role working across a fleet of Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs), cranes, and access equipment.
You’ll be responsible for keeping equipment operating safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance standards—both in the workshop and occasionally in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on EWPs and access equipment
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and breakdown repairs
- Install and maintain wiring, sensors, and control systems
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical faults as required
- Maintain batteries, charging systems, and electrical components
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance
- Ensure all equipment meets safety and manufacturer standards
Skills & Experience
- Trade qualified Auto Electrician or Plant Mechanic
- Experience with EWPs, cranes, or heavy machinery
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently
