Mobile Heavy Diesel Mechanic – Cranes / Plant / Trucks

We’re looking for a solid mechanic to join the team working on a fleet of mobile cranes. If you’ve worked on mobile plant, heavy trucks, or cranes, this will feel familiar.

This is a mix of workshop and field work, handling servicing, repairs, and breakdowns. The gear is well maintained, the work is steady, and there’s plenty of overtime available if you want it.

Plant and heavy truck mechanics are encouraged to apply.

The Role

Service, maintain, and repair mobile cranes
Diagnose faults across hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
Handle breakdowns in the workshop and occasionally out on-site
Carry out inspections before hire and after jobs
Work with the team to plan repairs and keep machines moving
Keep equipment compliant and safe to operate

What We’re Looking For

Cert III Mechanical Trade (Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle, or Plant Mechanic)
Experience on mobile plant, heavy trucks or cranes
Ability to fault-find and work through problems
Able to pass a pre-employment medical

Crane experience is great, but not essential — if you can work on heavy gear, you can learn cranes.
