About the Role
We are currently seeking a HSE Coordinator to join the team, based in Kareela. This position will play a key role in supporting and driving safety compliance across operations, ensuring systems, processes, and behaviours align with legislative requirements and internal standards.
Working closely with operational teams, you will be instrumental in promoting a proactive safety culture while ensuring compliance obligations are consistently met and enhanced.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of HSE systems and procedures
- Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, company policies, and site requirements
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Assist with incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, records, and reporting systems
- Facilitate toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety training
- Engage and influence stakeholders to drive a positive safety culture
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across safety and compliance
- Previous experience in a HSE/WHS Coordinator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and compliance requirements
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
