The Role
You will be involved across the full project life-cycle, from site investigations through to reporting and project support.
Field Work
- Conduct and supervise geotechnical investigations including drilling, logging, soil sampling, and groundwater well installation
- Install and manage monitoring equipment such as inclinometers, vibration monitors, and groundwater data loggers
- Carry out construction phase inspections including piling and shallow footing inspections
- Supervise subcontractors and field personnel
- Assist with slope stability assessments
- Analyse geotechnical data and present findings clearly
- Prepare factual and interpretive geotechnical reports
- Develop monitoring and inspection plans
- Assist with the preparation of proposals and fee estimates
- Support the ongoing improvement of internal quality systems and procedures
- Build capability in the use of specialist geotechnical software
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in geotechnical engineering
- Strong exposure to field investigations and construction inspections
- Proven ability to write clear, concise technical reports
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- A collaborative, team-focused mindset
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Experience with software such as gINT, PLAXIS, WALLAP, or GeoStudio
- Work on a wide variety of infrastructure and construction projects
