This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician or renewable energy technician to join the operations and maintenance team supporting the ongoing performance of a large-scale solar asset.
As an Electrical Technician, you will support the safe and efficient operation of the solar farm through maintenance, inspections and technical troubleshooting.
As the Trade Assistant on site, you will be working alongside the Electricians for their day-to-day duties.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing routine and advanced maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems
- Diagnosing faults and resolving complex technical issues, including repairing or replacing faulty components
- Supporting the development and implementation of maintenance SOPs and procedures
- Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with site safety standards and operational requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs and inspections
- Providing leadership and mentorship to junior technicians where required
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient site operations
- Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new systems and equipment
- Responding to emergency maintenance requests when required
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance

- Hourly rate + travel paid + LAHA
- 50 hours a week
- Travel to site Monday morning and back home Friday afternoon
- Immediate starts available
- 2-3 month contract
- Permanent positions available for Electricians willing to relocate
- Electricians must be qualified in Australia
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Current LVR/CPR certificate - both Electricians and TA's or willing to obtain
