Role Summary

The Site Manager will work with the project team to organise and deliver wind turbine supply and installation projects, typically valued at AUD 300M+. The role is responsible for coordinating technical, financial and construction resources, integrating installation and construction activities with turbine design, procurement and delivery schedules.

The position also plays a key role in maintaining strong EHS performance across the project lifecycle while building effective relationships with internal teams, clients, contractors and regulatory authorities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within project objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary site contact between the customer and project delivery team
- Ensure EHS and quality processes are implemented and followed on site
- Promote a proactive safety culture from project planning through to delivery
- Maintain knowledge of internal safety procedures and local regulations
- Encourage reporting of unsafe practices and take action to prevent incidents
- Respond to site incidents and communicate updates to stakeholders while implementing corrective actions
- Support safety training for project staff and subcontractors
- Manage subcontractors and partners in accordance with contract requirements
- Manage site interfaces between the project team, customer and other contractors
- Support installation and commissioning managers with site coordination to meet schedule and budget targets
- Ensure site personnel have the required training, tools and resources
- Coordinate with internal teams such as engineering, finance and quality to resolve issues
- Monitor site productivity and provide regular reporting on site performance
- Assist with monitoring commercial aspects of the project and identify potential risks
- Capture lessons learned to improve installation and commissioning productivity
- Support project closeout and handover to operations and warranty teams
- Represent the organisation professionally while managing time and site resources effectively

Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a relevant field
- Proven ability to work independently while leading site teams
- Knowledge of ISO standards and safety systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Customer-focused approach
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database systems
- Understanding of renewable energy policies and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of project management, installation and commissioning activities
- Familiarity with crane and heavy lift operations
- Ability to travel across Australia
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Full working rights in Australia
Desired Experience
- Wind turbine generator experience
- Wind farm construction or project delivery experience
- Experience delivering projects in Queensland
Qualifications
- Industry recognised qualification such as Advanced Diploma, AQF III or equivalent in Mechanical, Hydraulic or Electrical Engineering
- Relevant product and EHS training certifications
