They’re now looking for a Principal Contaminated Land Consultant to join their Sydney team. This is a role for someone who can hit the ground running, leading projects, mentoring staff, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients.
The Opportunity
- Lead contaminated land and remediation projects from initial planning to close-out
- Oversee PSI/DSI investigations, remediation action plans, validation reports, and ongoing management plans
- Apply technical expertise across soil, groundwater, vapour, landfill gas, and hazardous materials assessments
- Manage budgets, deadlines, and client communications with confidence
- Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering both technical skills and professional growth
- Work closely with senior leadership who remain actively engaged in project delivery
What You’ll Need
- Around 8+ years’ experience in contaminated land consulting (Australian market preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects to a high technical standard
- Strong project management, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Excellent report writing and client communication abilities
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental science, engineering, geology, or similar
- CEnvP accreditation (or working towards) highly regarded
