About the Role
The Construction Site Manager will oversee the on-site delivery of a major Wind Farm Project during the construction and commissioning phases. Reporting to the Project Director, this role will lead day-to-day site activities, coordinate contractors and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and in line with contractual obligations.
This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for maintaining strong safety culture, managing contractor performance and supporting the successful delivery of utility-scale renewable projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day construction activities across civil, electrical and installation works.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, OEM technicians and site personnel.
- Ensure works are delivered in line with project schedule, contracts and quality requirements.
- Lead site safety initiatives and enforce WHS compliance.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Monitor construction progress and provide regular reports to project stakeholders.
- Support contract administration, procurement and mobilisation activities.
- Liaise with project owners, engineers, grid stakeholders, landowners and local authorities.
- Maintain accurate site documentation including permits, drawings, reports and QA/QC records.
- Demonstrated experience managing construction activities on large scale renewable energy projects.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coordinating multiple contractors and site work fronts.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts and project delivery processes.
- Knowledge of Australian construction regulations and WHS requirements.
- Renewable energy project experience highly desirable.
- Relevant degree, trade qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
- Full Australian driver’s licence.
