ACRWORLD has partnered with RES Group to recruit an Electrical Technician for operations at the Blue Grass Solar Farm in regional Queensland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician or renewable energy technician to join the operations and maintenance team supporting the ongoing performance of a large-scale solar asset.

As an Electrical Technician, you will support the safe and efficient operation of the solar farm through maintenance, inspections and technical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include:
  • Performing routine and advanced maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Diagnosing faults and resolving complex technical issues, including repairing or replacing faulty components
  • Supporting the development and implementation of maintenance SOPs and procedures
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with site safety standards and operational requirements
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs and inspections
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to junior technicians where required
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient site operations
  • Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new systems and equipment
  • Responding to emergency maintenance requests when required
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance
Required Experience
  • Extensive experience in electrical maintenance, repair and installation
  • Experience working on industrial, utility-scale solar, renewable energy or similar infrastructure projects
  • Strong fault finding and troubleshooting capability
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a site-based team
Required Qualifications
  • Valid QLD Electrical Supervisors or Contractor’s Licence
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Current LVR/CPR certificate
  • Current First Aid certificate
