About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Safety / IMS Manager to join their corporate team. While this is primarily a corporate-based role, you will be required to travel to sites for critical incidents, ensuring safety and compliance across ongoing projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing IMS systems and ensuring alignment with company and project requirements
- Managing tender qualifications and ISO audits
- Maintaining and reviewing QA documentation and systems
- Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and programs across projects
- Conducting risk assessments, site inspections, and audits as required
- Coordinating and supporting incident investigations and corrective actions
- Reviewing and approving SWMS, JSEA, and high-risk work procedures
- Monitoring compliance with contractor and subcontractor safety obligations
- Supporting training and mentoring programs to embed safety culture across teams
- Reporting on safety, IMS, and compliance matters to senior management
- Acting as a key point of contact for site-related critical incidents
To Be Successful:
- Experience with construction or civil contracting, including building, lease, and subcontractor environments
- Solid knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance systems
- Experience managing IMS, ISO audits, QA documentation, or similar systems
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Confident working independently in a corporate setting with occasional site travel
- Cert IV in WHS (minimum); Diploma highly regarded
