Join a leading national Crane hire company supplying cranes and lifting equipment to major infrastructure, construction, and civil projects across Australia. We’re on the hunt for a skilled Crane Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of high-performance mobile cranes.
You'll be responsible for servicing and repairs in the workshop and out on-site, keeping downtime to a minimum and ensuring equipment is compliant, safe, and ready to go.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, inspect, and repair a range of mobile cranes
- Diagnose faults in hydraulic and mechanical.
- Respond to field breakdowns and emergency call-outs as needed
- Carry out pre-hire inspections and post-job assessments
- Work with the service team to plan jobs and order parts
- Ensure all repairs meet compliance, safety, and OEM standards
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle / Plant Mechanic)
- 1 years minimum experience working on cranes or 5 years on Plant equipment
- Strong working knowledge of crane hydraulics, slew systems, engines, winches, and electrics
- White Card (Construction Induction) – Essential
- Current Driver’s Licence – Essential
- Ability to work autonomously and travel to client sites when required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen
