About the Role

This role will support the growth of the company’s Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) business in Australia — identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and assisting in securing contracts for utility-scale and C&I storage projects.

The position can be based in Sydney or Melbourne and will work closely with both local and international teams.

Fluent Mandarin (spoken and written) is essential for this role, as you will be liaising regularly with overseas stakeholders and internal teams.

Responsibilities
  • Support business development and end-to-end sales activities for BESS projects across Australia
  • Develop and manage relationships with developers, utilities, and commercial & industrial energy users
  • Assist in preparing proposals, pricing submissions, and commercial offers
  • Work closely with technical and commercial teams through bid and negotiation stages
  • Monitor market trends, policy developments, and competitor activity
  • Maintain consistent communication with international teams in both Mandarin and English
Skills & Experience
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in BESS sales or business development within the Australian market
  • Experience in solar or wind project sales will also be considered
  • Strong understanding of the Australian energy market and NEM framework
  • Fluent Mandarin and English (written and spoken) is mandatory
  • Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Motivated, proactive, and keen to develop within the energy storage sector
