The Role
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will carry out a range of formwork duties on active commercial construction sites. The role involves working with timber and engineered formwork systems, interpreting detailed plans, and working collaboratively with site teams to meet project deadlines while maintaining strict safety standards.
This position offers consistent, long-term work for dependable candidates and the chance to build experience on major commercial developments.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and dismantle timber and modular formwork systems for commercial concrete structures.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Set out and assemble formwork for slabs, columns, walls, and suspended decks.
- Ensure formwork is level, aligned, and structurally sound prior to concrete pours.
- Strip and clean formwork following curing and prepare materials for reuse.
- Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements on commercial sites.
Requirements
- Previous experience in formwork carpentry (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Construction White Card.
- Own tools and reliable transport.
- Ability to work from plans and within structured commercial site environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Experience on large commercial projects highly regarded.
