The Role
As a formwork carpenter, you will report to the Site Foreman and carry out a variety of formwork tasks, including slab, table, and wall formwork, while adhering to site safety standards. You will work closely with the formwork team to help keep projects on schedule and deliver them efficiently.
This role provides exposure to major projects and long-term work, with the potential to work directly with our client.
Responsibilities
- Build, assemble, and install customised timber or modular steel forms based on blueprints and structural plans.
- Ensure moulds are precise, level, aligned, and braced to withstand the pressure of wet concrete.
- Prepare forms to receive concrete and ensure structural integrity.
- Strip formwork after concrete has cured, and clean and repair components for reuse.
- Work in accordance with health and safety guidelines, including working at heights and ensuring accuracy when creating column forms or suspended slabs.
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience working as a formwork carpenter.
- White Card, own tools, and reliable transport.
- Ability to read plans and work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience on large commercial projects is preferred.
- Additional tickets or licences are advantageous.
- Competitive pay rates based on experience.
