ACRWORLD is partnering with a growing, service led organisation to appoint a newly created Financial Controller role based in Rozelle. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this position has been created to bring the finance function in house as the business continues to scale.

This is a hands on leadership role suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being close to the detail while also contributing to the bigger picture. You will take ownership of day to day financial operations, support strategic decision making, and work closely with internal teams across a fast paced, multi entity environment.

Experience within insurance, financial services, construction or another operationally driven services business will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
• Take ownership of core finance operations currently supported externally, including oversight of BAS, payroll processes and compliance
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial analysis to support business performance
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and statutory requirements including BAS, GST and PAYG
• Oversee month end processes, reconciliations and general ledger integrity across multiple entities
• Partner closely with senior leaders and operational teams, translating financial data into clear, practical insights
• Supervise and support two finance team members, providing guidance and structure as the function grows
• Drive improvements across financial systems, processes and internal controls in a scaling business


About You
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• 7 to 10+ years experience across accounting or finance roles within a commercial environment
• Strong technical financial reporting and compliance knowledge within the Australian regulatory framework
• Previous experience in a hands on Finance Manager or Financial Controller role
• Experience working across multi entity or multi state operations is highly regarded
• CPA or CA qualification preferred but not essential
• Experience with Xero or ERP systems and confidence learning new platforms
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with non finance stakeholders across the business
• Comfortable operating at both a strategic level and in the day to day detail
