While the practice is widely recognised for its interior design work, around 25% of the portfolio sits firmly in high-end architecture, delivered across Australia and internationally. The architecture team is currently small, but growing. This role offers genuine scope to strengthen and expand that side of the business.
THE ROLE:
You will take on Nominated Architect responsibilities while leading architectural projects from early design through to documentation and construction. The studio works in a highly integrated way, with architecture and interiors developed in parallel rather than in isolation.
The position would suit either:
- A technically strong Architect with deep knowledge of compliance, construction detailing and delivery; or
- A design-led Architect who consistently challenges ideas and looks to push creative outcomes further.
Salary up to $200K+ super
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as Nominated Architect and provide professional oversight
- Lead architectural components of high-end residential and boutique commercial projects
- Work closely with interior designers to ensure architectural clarity and cohesion
- Manage consultants, approvals and coordination
- Maintain hands-on involvement in Revit documentation and detailing
- Mentor team members and contribute to the steady growth of the architecture team
The studio operates in a genuinely collaborative way. Ideas are shared openly and every team member is encouraged to contribute to design discussions. The structure is flat, communication is direct and opinions are respected.
Project involvement extends beyond drawings. The team is often included in key milestones, site visits and, at times, international travel to engage with overseas work. It’s a studio that values contribution and recognises effort.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture [ESSENTIAL]
- Minimum 8 years post-graduate experience in Australian practice
- NSW Registered Architect with ability to act as Nominated Architect [ESSENTIAL]
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects from concept through to construction
- Strong Revit capability
- Residential project experience required. Hospitality and commercial experience desirable
- Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship [ESSENTIAL]
