About the Role:
They are seeking an experience Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and control across multiple construction projects. In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP), ensuring all works meet contractual, engineering, and ISO standards. You will collaborate closely with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to uphold exceptional standards of workmanship, compliance, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain project QMPs aligned with ISO 9001 and project requirements.
- Establish and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and communications disciplines.
- Maintain NCR, CAR, and other quality registers, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Lead internal audits, supplier audits, and readiness reviews for project milestones.
- Oversee project documentation, including procedures, drawings, inspection records, and as-built packages.
- Review contractor quality plans, material approvals, and factory test reports.
- Coordinate third-party inspections, NATA testing, compaction/concrete tests, and commissioning records.
- Provide reporting on project KPIs, quality dashboards, and early warnings on compliance or defect risks.
- Drive lessons-learned initiatives and continuous improvement activities across projects.
- Ensure quality close-out for Practical Completion, including certifications and O&M handover documentation.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Industrial) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years in a quality management or senior QA role, ideally in renewable energy, BESS, solar farms, substations, or HV electrical projects.
- Strong knowledge of quality control systems, ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001), and construction QA processes.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and guide multi-disciplinary teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisational capability, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with document control systems (Aconex, Procore, Asite, Zutec or similar).
- Valid construction white card and driver’s license; willingness to work across multiple projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with resilience to thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Desirable: experience in solar farms or large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
