What you will be doing:
- Provide onsite leadership, guiding construction teams and subcontractors to deliver quality outcomes safely and on schedule.
- Implement and maintain safety programs, including record keeping and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure performance, productivity, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, senior construction leadership, design and site engineers to anticipate and address construction challenges.
- Support environmental compliance, including Construction Environment Management Plans (CEMP) and related requirements.
- Coordinate scheduling and lookahead planning for multiple project scopes.
- Develop and maintain productive stakeholder and client relationships.
- Previous experience on utility‑scale solar farm construction projects (ideally >100 MW).
- Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in construction management or related leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of solar farm construction methods, materials, and specifications.
- Ability to interpret project scopes, contracts, and drawings to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to run effective site meetings and manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Lead the onsite delivery of a major renewable energy asset in New Zealand.
