Site HR Advisor | FIFO 8:6 | Pilbara Based | Perth Fly In Fly Out

What is on offer
Salary up to $150k plus super. FIFO 8:6 roster flying in and out of Perth to Pilbara sites. Opportunity to join a well established organisation where HR plays a key role in supporting major operational projects. A long term position with strong investment in development and capability building.

An established organisation is seeking an experienced Site HR Advisor to join their team supporting operational projects across the Pilbara region. This is a hands on, autonomous role suited to someone confident working in fast paced, complex site environments and partnering closely with leadership teams on people matters.

This position is critical to supporting site operations and requires a proactive, grounded HR professional with strong ER and IR capability, excellent judgement, and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Location and roster
This role is based across operational sites in the Pilbara and operates on an 8:6 FIFO roster flying in and out of Perth. The position is fully site based while on swing, supporting multiple projects across the region. Flexibility is essential, as this role operates in active site environments where workspaces may vary and dedicated HR offices are not always available.

About the role
Working closely with site leadership, HR and legal teams, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of employee relations matters while supporting broader HR initiatives across multiple locations.
Key responsibilities include managing end to end ER and IR casework including complaints, grievances and investigations.

You will conduct investigations in line with company procedures, including interviewing witnesses, drafting allegations and producing detailed reports. The role involves maintaining and managing ER case trackers and overseeing more than 20 concurrent matters at any given time, including records of conversations, written warnings, performance improvement plans and probation processes.

You will support leaders to ensure documentation is compliant and guide them through performance management matters. The position partners closely with site leadership, the HRBP, legal, payroll and broader HR teams across multiple projects. You will also champion employee engagement initiatives on site and support head office HR projects such as workforce transitions and redundancy consultation processes.

The role also involves developing and delivering ER and IR training through pre starts, toolbox talks and structured sessions, while providing practical advice aligned with the Fair Work Act and internal policies.

About you
You will bring 3 to 5 years experience in a FIFO Site HR Advisor role within mining, construction or heavy industry and demonstrate strong ER and IR capability with proven investigation experience. You are confident managing high volume casework in complex operational environments and have a strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and legislative compliance requirements.

You are comfortable working autonomously across varied site locations and able to influence, challenge and manage expectations with senior stakeholders and project managers who have strong personalities. You maintain a professional stance and strong judgement, with loyalty to legislative compliance.

You are collaborative, resilient and a strong communicator with exceptional attention to detail, particularly when managing investigations and sensitive documentation. You are also looking for a long term opportunity where you can grow and develop, recognising that significant investment in training and capability development is provided in the early stages of the role.
