About the company

The client is a Sydney Engineering Consultancy based in the Sydney City Fringe. It provides a range of Structural Design Engineering services.
  
It has a healthy project pipeline and a supportive, a collaborative team that can provide career training at all levels within the business and will invest in your personal growth. 

It has partnered with a leading Architecture studio and has significant financial investment to ensure a sustained growth period over the next two years, a great time to join and grow into a role that will most likely lead to a Team Leader / Associate position in the not too distant future.

It is specifically busy at present in the Residential, Industrial and Commercial sectors working across projects of various size and scale, up to 50 levels.

It is led by an experienced Director, with significant industry experience gained both within Australia and overseas. He's an excellent leader, non-egotistical, down to earth and will be a great mentor to the team.
 
 
About the role

Due to growth we are seeking a Revit skilled Structural Draftsperson who has worked in a similar Engineering Consultancy environment. 

We are looking to identify someone who can work semi-autonomously under leadership.

You will be proactive and be on the front foot, working with Engineers, clients and project partners to deliver documentation packages for a number of key projects.

About the candidate

Ideally you will have:  
  • Ideally a minimum of 3-5+ years of structural drafting experience 
  • A proficient user of Revit Structures with the ability to model, setting up and modifying families would be advantageous but not essential
  • Previous Structural Drafting experience with an Engineering Consultancy
  • Strong work ethic
  • Team player, adaptable and flexible
  • An industry qualification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Australian Standards & Council design standards
  • Demonstrated understanding of Engineering codes, construction standards, specs, procedures and construction techniques
  • Full Australian working rights
