An experienced Contract Site Manager is required for a 12-month heritage remediation project based in Newcastle. This is a hands-on role managing a live remediation environment with a strong focus on safety, quality, and stakeholder coordination.
The Project
- Heritage-listed remediation works
- Structural and building fabric repairs
- Working closely with consultants, trades, and heritage stakeholders
- Live and sensitive environment requiring a high level of detail and care
- Day-to-day site management and coordination of trades
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to heritage standards
- Liaise with consultants, engineers, and heritage advisors
- Manage site documentation, permits, and compliance requirements
- Oversee quality control and defect management
- Maintain strong communication with the project team and client
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on remediation or heritage projects
- Strong understanding of heritage construction methods and constraints
- Excellent knowledge of WHS and site compliance
- Ability to manage subcontractors and multiple work fronts
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Trade or construction management background preferred
- 12-month contract on a high-profile heritage project
