This 12-month maternity leave cover offers a unique opportunity to step into a pivotal hands-on investment and project finance role, working directly with senior leadership during a landmark capital raise and multiple renewable energy projects through to financial close.
You will play a critical role in shaping investment decisions, supporting due diligence, maintaining and evolving financial models, and providing commercial advisory across a portfolio of high-impact projects.
The role is deliberately flexible in seniority, and would suit candidates from analyst through to manager level with strong project finance and investment capabality gained across energy, infrastructure or high-value real estate projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and enhance complex financial models for project feasibility, valuation and investment analysis
- Analyse development activities leading through to financial close, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Support due diligence processes for new project and investment opportunities
- Prepare investment papers, reports and presentations for senior management, investors and external stakeholders
- Manage and document key financial model assumptions across the project portfolio
- Quantify project, commercial and financial risks to support informed decision-making
- Monitor market dynamics including energy pricing, regulatory changes and macro trends
- Support RFP responses, tender submissions and broader commercial initiatives as required
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Economics or Engineering
- 3-10yrs' experience in project finance, investment analysis and financial modelling within energy, infrastructure or real estate
- Experience with non-recourse debt financing and cashflow-driven investment decisions
- Exposure to transactions, valuations and due diligence highly regarded
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability across large, complex models
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders
- Analytical, structured and creative mindset, comfortable operating in a fast-growth environment
- Direct exposure to end-to-end investments, high-value capital raising and strategic transactions
