About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the maintenance team on a permanent basis. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy a 4-day working week while earning a competitive hourly rate.
You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment to ensure minimal downtime and smooth operation of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery
- Diagnose and fault-find mechanical issues across packaging and processing lines
- Perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime
- Conduct preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability
- Install, modify and upgrade machinery as required
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Follow WHS procedures and site safety standards
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Experience within FMCG or food manufacturing environments (highly regarded)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- 4-day work week - no Fridays!
- $50 - $55 per hour + overtime
