About the role
Due to sustained growth we are seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer looking to take the next step in their career.
We are looking for someone with experience working on medium to high-rise buildings.
You will lead structural design and documentation from concept design to delivery of projects, resolve complex engineering problems, be a primary contact for clients, architects and project stakeholders and mentor and support a team of junior Engineers.
This position could be based out of its Could be based out of its Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Brisbane offices.
About the candidate
Ideally you will have:
- At least 5-8 years of structural design engineering experience, with an Engineering Consultancy with a significant amount of this locally
- Ability to work on projects with minimal supervision but under direction
- Client facing skills, stakeholder engagement and management skills including coordinating with clients and knowing when to push back
- Degree qualified
- Proficiency in structural design software, such as ETABS, RAM Concept, Space Gass, RAPT.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Australian Standards & Council design standards
- Demonstrated understanding of Engineering codes, construction standards, specs, procedures and construction techniques
