The Role
My client is seeking an experienced Development Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of multiple development projects. This role will play a critical part in driving feasibility outcomes, managing consultants, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects through the full development lifecycle: acquisition support, feasibility, DA, design, construction, and settlement
- Prepare and maintain detailed development feasibilities, cash flows, and financial reports
- Coordinate and manage external consultants including planners, architects, engineers, builders, and legal teams
- Lead the DA and approvals process with councils and relevant authorities
- Work closely with construction teams to ensure design intent, budget, and program are achieved
- Identify and manage project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost controls
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on program, budget, risks, and milestones
- Support site acquisitions through due diligence and feasibility analysis
- Ensure compliance with statutory, planning, and regulatory requirements
- Background in property development, construction, project management, or related discipline
- Strong understanding of feasibility modelling, development finance, and project controls
- Demonstrated experience managing consultants and stakeholder relationships
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
- Passionate individual who takes pride in their work
- Degree in Property, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or similar
- Tertiary qualifications in Property or Finance highly regarded
