Locations: Bacchus Marsh & Wallan (Melbourne)
Project Duration: 12 months (Contract initially → Permanent)
Salary: $100,000 – $125,000 + super (or hourly equivalent during contract)
We are seeking two experienced Site Safety Advisors to join a major civil road infrastructure project in Melbourne’s west and north. The works involve road realignment and intersection upgrades, and both roles are site based.
These are 12 month projects, commencing on a contract basis, with a clear pathway to full time permanent employment for the right candidates.
About the Role
- Site-based WHS support on active civil construction projects
- Daily safety presence across road alignment and intersection upgrade works
- Supporting site leadership with WHS compliance, risk management, and incident prevention
- Conducting toolbox talks, inspections, audits, and safety observations
- Assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions
- Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, project requirements, and company systems
- Bacchus Marsh Project:
- Day shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Night and weekend work may be required (higher rates apply)
- Wallan Project:
- Day shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil construction safety (essential)
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and civil construction risks
- Confident working independently on site
- Excellent communication and engagement skills with site teams and subcontractors
- Relevant WHS qualifications (Cert IV WHS or equivalent preferred)
- White Card required
- $100,000 – $125,000 + super (or hourly rate equivalent during contract)
- Increased rates for night and weekend shifts (Bacchus Marsh project)
