About the role:
If you enjoy combining commercial strategy with hands-on project leadership, this role offers the chance to influence investment decisions and make a tangible impact on Australia’s energy future.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape and deliver large-scale renewable energy projects across Australia. You will lead project development, secure sites, manage approvals, coordinate engineering and planning workstreams, and prepare projects for investment and construction.

Responsibilities
  • Lead identification, assessment, acquisition, and securing of greenfield sites for solar, wind, and battery storage projects.
  • Oversee the end-to-end project development lifecycle, ensuring milestones, budgets, and commercial objectives are met.
  • Drive regulatory approvals, including planning, environmental, cultural heritage, and other statutory obligations.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and external consultants, ensuring technical and commercial alignment across workstreams.
  • Develop strong relationships with landowners, councils, government agencies, and local communities.
  • Support investment teams with financial modelling, due diligence, and investment committee submissions.

Skills & Experience:
  • 5–12+ years’ experience in renewable energy or infrastructure development, ideally across solar, wind, or BESS.
  • Proven record of delivering utility-scale projects to financial close.
  • Strong commercial acumen with understanding of project bankability, risk, and investment readiness.
  • Deep knowledge of Australian planning, environmental, and regulatory processes.
  • Experience managing complex technical workstreams, budgets, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Resilient, decisive, and highly motivated to contribute to Australia’s clean energy transition.
