Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of all finishing trades from late structure through to practical completion, including internal and external finishes, services finishes, and architectural detailing.
- Coordinate and sequence finishing subcontractors (carpentry, joinery, linings, waterproofing, tiling, painting, façades, services fit-off) to achieve program milestones.
- Drive high-quality outcomes through detailed inspections, QA sign-offs, and proactive defect identification and rectification to achieve a smooth PC and handover.
- Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to maintain the finishing program, manage look-aheads, and resolve on-site constraints.
- Maintain a safe work environment during high-risk finishing stages, ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, SWMS, and site safety standards.
- Assist with consultant inspections, authority approvals, and client walk-throughs, ensuring finishes meet design intent and approval standards.
- Manage finishing-stage documentation including ITPs, checklists, RFIs, defects lists, and handover documentation using Procore, Aconex, or similar systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering Class 2 residential apartment projects ($50M+)
- Background managing projects from early works through to handover
- Confident leader with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing, WHS, and contractual frameworks
- Experience using Procore, Aconex, or similar construction systems
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar (preferred)
