About the Role
An opportunity has become available for a Health Advisor & Return-to-Work Coordinator to join the HSEQ team. This role plays a critical part in supporting renewable energy projects by ensuring health compliance, coordinating RTW programs, and driving a proactive health and wellbeing culture across construction, commissioning, and operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project teams to implement and maintain health and RTW compliance in line with company systems, client requirements, and legislation
- Coordinate and manage Return-to-Work plans, liaising with injured workers, supervisors, and insurers
- Assist with the rollout and ongoing management of digital HSE systems (e.g. HammerTech, Avetta, Autodesk)
- Conduct site inspections, health risk assessments, and reviews of SDSs and chemical risk assessments
- Monitor health-related KPIs, trends, and reporting
- Coordinate health inductions, wellbeing training, and awareness programs
- Support internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in delivering health and wellbeing programs, including psychological and psychosocial initiatives
- Prepare monthly health and HSE compliance reports
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and HSE teams to embed health into daily operations
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent)
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE)
- Qualification in Health Care or a related discipline
- Experience in a WHS/HSE role within construction or renewable energy environments
- Proven experience coordinating Workers’ Compensation and Return-to-Work processes
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation across Australian jurisdictions
- Experience with WHS management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
- Exposure to solar farm and/or BESS projects
- Confidence using HammerTech, Avetta, Autodesk, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills
