About the Role

This is a senior technical and stakeholder-focused role within a Future Grid Centre of Excellence based in Australia. The role leads grid connection activities for wind, BESS, hydrogen and hybrid energy projects, supporting the integration of on-grid and off-grid solutions across Australia and selected global markets.

Key Responsibilities

Grid Integration & Strategy
  • Lead grid connection strategies for renewable and storage projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian grid codes and evolving standards.
  • Support development of competitive, localised grid solutions.
Technical Leadership
  • Act as a subject matter expert in grid connection and power systems.
  • Resolve complex technical challenges across projects.
  • Support system design, modelling and product development.
Stakeholder Management
  • Engage with AEMO, TNSPs, DNSPs and regulatory bodies.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Team & Capability Development
  • Establish tools and processes for grid compliance and assessment.
  • Mentor engineers and support team growth.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (PhD preferred).
  • Strong experience in grid connection engineering or power systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of grid codes, stability and compliance.
  • Proven technical leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving capability.
