This is a senior, hands-on role offering autonomy, stability, and the opportunity to take ownership of critical groundwater control works on complex construction sites.
The Role You will be responsible for planning, supervising, and optimising dewatering systems to support excavation, piling, and shoring works. Working closely with project managers and site teams, you will ensure dewatering activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage dewatering operations including wellpoint and deep well systems
- Lead site crews and coordinate plant, pumps, and equipment
- Install, commission, monitor, and adjust dewatering systems
- Identify and resolve groundwater and site-specific challenges
- Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and discharge requirements
- Liaise with project teams, clients, and regulators as required
- Maintain site records, reporting, and dewatering documentation
- Proven experience in a Dewatering Supervisor, Dewatering Manager, or Senior Dewatering Technician role
- Strong technical understanding of groundwater control systems and pump operations
- Background in civil construction, piling, shoring, or ground engineering
- Confident leading crews and managing site activities
- Strong safety leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and dewatering designs
