With a fast-growing presence in Australia and an established, highly respected leadership team, the business is scaling rapidly and investing heavily in its engineering and grid capabilities. This is an opportunity to join a world-class organisation during a major growth phase.

About the Role

We are seeking both Power Systems Engineers and Senior Power Systems Engineers to support grid connection, modelling, and technical studies across a pipeline of major wind and BESS projects. You’ll work closely with global engineering teams and local grid specialists to deliver high-quality studies, optimise connection strategies, and support project delivery.
The role is based in Melbourne, with hybrid/WFH flexibility depending on experience. Part-time arrangements may also be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct load flow, dynamic, and EMT studies using tools such as PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD, and Sincal
  • Support grid connection modelling for large-scale wind and BESS projects
  • Review connection studies, OEM models, and network infrastructure to identify risks and opportunities
  • Prepare grid connection assessments and documentation in line with NER requirements
  • Support feasibility studies, project development, and technical due diligence
  • Work closely with internal OEM engineering teams, NSPs, AEMO, and technical vendors
  • Provide technical support during commissioning and project delivery (level depending)
Skills & Experience Essential
  • Degree in Electrical / Power Systems Engineering
  • Experience using PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD, or Sincal
  • Understanding of NER, grid connection processes, and Australian NSP requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred (varies by seniority)
  • Experience across load flow, dynamic/transient, protection, or power quality studies
  • Exposure to wind turbine or BESS modelling (highly valued)
  • Python scripting for study automation
  • Experience dealing with NSPs, OEMs, or AEMO
  • Senior candidates: ability to lead studies, interface with stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers
Benefits
  • Melbourne-based role with hybrid/WFH flexibility
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge wind and BESS technology with a global OEM
  • Broad project exposure across development, modelling, and grid connection
  • Join a growing and collaborative engineering team with strong leadership
  • Part-time options considered
