About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Operations Manager to lead our Service, Inspection, and Testing division within the fire protection industry. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance across all service activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong management capability, technical understanding of fire protection systems, and a commitment to customer satisfaction and safety.
 
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Service, Inspection, and Testing division, ensuring all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively, including scheduling engineers and managing workload distribution.
  • Implement and monitor operational processes to improve productivity and service quality.
Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of service engineers and support staff.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear KPIs, and support professional development.
  • Promote a positive, safety-focused, and customer-centric team culture.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all inspection, testing, and maintenance activities comply with relevant fire protection standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Manage documentation, reporting, and certification processes with accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct internal audits and drive continuous improvement in compliance performance.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for service-related inquiries and issues.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent service experience and retention.
  • Prepare service proposals, quotations, and operational reports for internal and external stakeholders  
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar management role within the fire protection
  • Strong understanding of fire safety systems (e.g., fire alarms, extinguishers, sprinklers, emergency lighting).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to high standards of compliance and safety.
