Our client is a specialist provider within the fire protection services industry, supporting commercial and industrial projects across NSW. As a growing business, they’re now looking to strengthen their Health, Safety, Environment & Quality function and are committed to building a safer, more streamlined way of working. 

About the Role:

This newly created position offers full ownership of the HSEQ function. You’ll be responsible for developing a practical, fit for purpose HSEQ system, building on the basic framework currently in place and shaping it into a robust and scalable program. This is a hands on role working closely with leadership, field teams and service technicians to embed a strong safety culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and maintain HSEQ policies, procedures and systems.
• Build on existing foundations to create a tailored, compliant HSEQ framework.
• Drive safety culture and engagement across sites, workshops and office environments.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
• Oversee risk assessments, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, standards and industry requirements.
• Provide coaching, training and support to operational teams.
• Manage quality assurance processes and accreditation requirements.

To Be Successful:

• 5+ years in an HSEQ 
• Previous experience in an leadership role within a related industry
• Diploma in WHS or OHS
• Proven capability in developing or improving safety systems and processes.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence across all levels.
• Hands-on, proactive and solutions-driven approach.
• Relevant WHS qualifications highly regarded.
