We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a long-standing commercial builder with a 70-year history delivering high-quality projects across Sydney. This privately owned company specialises in private education, commercial, community, and institutional projects, with typical project values ranging from $5M–$25M.
This is an excellent opportunity for a steady, reliable Site Manager who brings strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes especially in live, operational environments.
Key Responsibilities • Manage daily site operations, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and program delivery. • Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and site teams to maintain workflow and project sequencing. • Oversee all aspects of site establishment, logistics, and programming for education-based projects.
Team & Leadership • Lead and mentor younger Site Supervisors and apprentices. • Foster a positive and collaborative site culture with a focus on productivity, safety, and workmanship.
Stakeholder & Client Management • Liaise with Project Managers, architects, consultants, and school representatives. • Maintain strong communication and ensure minimal disruption within sensitive, live school environments.
Quality, Safety & Compliance • Implement and uphold QA/QC systems and detailed inspections. • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company safety procedures.
Requirements • Trade background preferred. • Experience overseeing commercial or education-based projects up to $25M. • Confident managing live environments and complex stakeholder interfaces. • Strong leadership and mentoring ability • Long tenure with previous employers and a commitment to high-quality delivery.
