About the Role:
We are seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Coordinator to design, implement and lead a fit-for-purpose safety management framework.
This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys working both in the office and on-site, with the autonomy to build systems, influence culture, and make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a WHS Management System aligned with SafeWork NSW and industry standards.
- Create clear policies, procedures, and SWMS tailored to solar and battery installations.
- Partner with an external compliance consultant to ensure all WHS documentation and processes meet Australian workplace safety laws.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure high safety standards are upheld.
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety workshops for installers, operations staff, and contractors.
- Maintain the risk register, track incidents and corrective actions, and prepare monthly WHS reports for senior leadership.
- Use digital tools (e.g. Monday.com) to track WHS tasks, incidents, and training compliance.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a WHS role, ideally within construction, electrical, renewables, or utilities.
- Solid knowledge of SafeWork NSW legislation and compliance requirements.
- Confident in building and implementing WHS systems from the ground up.
- Strong communication and leadership skills – able to engage teams and drive a positive safety culture.
- Comfortable working across office and site environments.
- Proficient with cloud-based tools and systems.
