About the Role
As the Engineering Lead, you'll be responsible for leading the design and technical delivery of large-scale solar farm projects from concept through construction and commissioning. You will coordinate internal engineers, external consultants, EPC partners, OEMs, and grid stakeholders (AEMO, TNSP/NSP) to ensure projects meet performance, quality, and compliance requirements. It will suit someone from an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background, with design experience on solar farms in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate engineering design for utility-scale Solar PV projects from feasibility through commissioning
- Provide technical leadership across electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering deliverables
- Review and validate engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and grid connection documentation
- Work closely with contractors, OEMs and key stakeholders (TNSP/NSP, AEMO, EPC partners) to resolve technical issues
- Drive engineering governance, design risk management, and continuous improvement across the portfolio
- Mentor junior engineers and support growth of internal engineering capability
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience across renewable energy, ideally from an EPC perspective
- Good knowledge on solar farm design and issues in Australia
- Ability to work autonomously when needed and also lead cross-disciplinary technical teams
- Passion for renewable energy and seeking long term move
- Ability to be based anywhere on the East Coast (travel when needed)

- Salary: $180-200k + super
