A well-established engineering specialist is expanding into Melbourne and seeking a motivated, commercially-minded engineer to join their new office. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical design, estimation, and business development within a growing, dynamic team.

The Role
This newly created position is ideal for someone who thrives on variety and impact. You’ll:

• Lead preparation of design concepts and estimates for civil and geotechnical projects.
• Identify business opportunities in the Victorian civil and infrastructure market.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to support bids and project planning.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to convert opportunities into delivered projects.
• Play an active role in shaping the Melbourne office and its growth strategy.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or similar.
• Experience in design or estimation within geotechnical or civil projects, or strong civil/infrastructure estimation experience.
• Commercially minded, confident in preparing cost/estimate models, understanding scope, risk, and margin.
• Energetic, ambitious, and proactive — a true go-getter.
• Strong communicator and relationship-builder; able to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients.
• Melbourne-based!
