A leading Australian energy producer operating one of the nation’s largest generation assets is seeking an experienced Shift Operations Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and upskill a large production team across 24/7 operations.
- Oversee daily plant performance across boilers, turbines, coal handling, and auxiliary systems.
- Drive safety excellence through permit-to-work, operational risk, and emergency response processes.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and trading functions to optimise generation and efficiency.
- Identify and implement operational improvements to support flexible and reliable power generation.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and ongoing capability development.
- Proven leadership experience within coal-fired or large thermal power generation operations.
- Strong understanding of plant systems, on-shift maintenance, and control room operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, manage IR challenges, and build technical capability.
- Tertiary or trade qualifications in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
