Join a leading national crane and lifting solutions provider supporting major infrastructure, construction, and civil projects across Australia. We’re seeking a Technical Service Specialist to provide high-level technical support, diagnostics, and field service on a modern fleet of mobile cranes.
You’ll act as the technical expert between workshop, field, and customer operations — ensuring reliability, safety, and top performance of heavy lifting equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide phone-based technical support to technicians and customers
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues in cranes
• Coordinate service jobs, allocate field technicians, and order correct parts
• Conduct field breakdown repairs and pre-delivery inspections
• Support with service bulletins, product updates, and technical documentation
• Analyse fault trends and report feedback to engineering and production teams
• Deliver operator familiarisation and training sessions for new equipment
• Liaise between service, sales, and parts teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Trade Certificate – Mechanical or Electrical (Crane, Plant, or Heavy Equipment)
• 5+ years’ experience in technical service, field support, or diagnostics
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical (CANbus), and mechanical systems
• Ability to interpret schematics and service documentation
• Experience with mobile cranes, heavy equipment, or OEM environments
• Current Driver’s Licence and White Card – Essential
• Excellent communication and fault-finding skills
