About the Role:

As part of their ongoing growth, our client is seeking a hands-on HSE Manager to drive safety and environmental excellence across project sites and offices. You will combine strategic oversight with practical, on the ground support to ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, assess, and manage WHS risks across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Deliver safety and environmental training, inductions, and toolbox talks
  • Support emergency preparedness and crisis management planning
  • Monitor contractor compliance and provide coaching as needed
  • Maintain and continuously improve WHS and environmental management systems and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address safety and environmental concerns
  • Provide guidance on environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and quality assurance
  • Travel regularly to project sites to provide on-the-ground leadership and support
To Be Successful, You Will Have:
  • 10+ years’ experience in WHS or EHS management roles, preferably in construction, renewable energy, or infrastructure
  • Experience in environmental management, sustainability initiatives, or related fields
  • Engineering degree or similar technical qualification (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, environmental regulations, and best practices
  • Experience conducting audits, investigations, and reporting across multiple sites
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to build rapport with diverse teams and contractors
  • White Card and willingness to travel as required
