The Role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you'll provide commercial and contractual support to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor subcontractors' rate of progress and coordinate variation and delay claim reviews with the Construction team.
- Provide ongoing commercial support, ensuring all suppliers and subcontractors adhere to contractual terms.
- Operate and maintain contract systems including Variation Registers, Delay & EOT Claim Registers, and Risk Registers.
- Ensure client and subcontractor bonds, guarantees, and insurances comply with contract requirements.
- Support dispute resolution processes as required.
- Review documentation and assess the validity of upstream and downstream variations.
- Draft contractual correspondence to clients and subcontractors with input from the Contracts Manager and site teams.
- Prepare and review EOT notices in coordination with the Construction team.
- Manage contractual communications efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Monitor upstream programs to capture potential delays or prevention issues from the Client/Principal.
- Review and coordinate subcontractor payment claims, ensuring timely certification and SOPA compliance.
- Support negotiation of new upstream and downstream contracts and advise Legal and Procurement from a contracts perspective.
About You
- Degree in Construction, Law, Quantity Surveying, or Commerce.
- CA / CPA qualification preferred.
- 3-6+ years' experience in contracts administration (EPC, renewables, or major infrastructure).
- Strong knowledge of contract law, EOTs, and risk management.
- Confident communicator with strong commercial and analytical skills.
