Reporting to the Projects Director, you’ll play a key role in administering and overseeing commercial and contractual obligations under a split contract structure. You’ll work closely with internal project teams, contractors, and external advisors to ensure effective contract performance, risk management, and protection of the Principal’s commercial position.
You will work directly with the Head of Delivery who is a respected industry leader with whom you can learn and develop. You’ll contribute to the establishment of a Project Management Office (PMO) overseeing delivery of multiple renewable energy projects nationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of the commercial and performance obligations across project contracts.
- Administer and maintain contract registers, deliverables, and correspondence tracking.
- Prepare and issue project notices, responses to claims, and other commercial documentation.
- Support day-to-day communication and performance management with contractors.
- Review and assess contractor claims, variations, and extensions of time, providing recommendations to the Projects Director.
- Monitor emerging commercial risks and support resolution of disputes and interface issues.
- Liaise with key stakeholders including contractors, the network service provider, and the Owner’s Engineer.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with debt financing obligations and reporting.
- Contribute to the development of commercial tools, templates, and processes to strengthen contract management capability.
- Proven experience in commercial or contract administration roles within the energy, renewables, or major infrastructure sectors.
- Solid understanding of contract management under split or multi-contract delivery models.
- Strong knowledge of claims, variations, and payment application processes.
- Exposure to commercial risk management, dispute resolution, and commercial reporting.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, law, engineering, or construction management (desirable).
- Experience across BESS, solar, wind, or transmission projects will be highly regarded.
