About the Company
Our client is a leading structures specialist delivering formwork, reinforcing, and concrete (FRP) packages on projects exceeding $50M in value. They’re known for their collaborative approach, focus on innovation, and ability to deliver high-quality outcomes on some of Australia’s most challenging commercial, infrastructure, and high-rise developments.
With a growing pipeline in Queensland, they’re now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Contract Administrator to take ownership of the commercial management of a flagship Brisbane-based project.
The Role Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you’ll lead all commercial and contractual aspects of a major project, from cost planning and procurement through to final accounts and team leadership.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed cost plans, budgets, and value engineering proposals.
- Leading procurement processes, including tendering, contract negotiation, and award.
- Administering and managing contracts through the full project life cycle.
- Monitoring project costs, cash flow, and variations to ensure commercial performance.
- Preparing and reviewing progress claims, variations, and final accounts.
- Providing proactive contract advice and ensuring compliance with obligations.
- Mentoring junior team members and promoting commercial best practice.
As a strong communicator and commercially driven professional who thrives in fast-paced project environments. You’ll bring a balance of analytical rigour and practical construction understanding, along with the confidence to lead negotiations and advise project stakeholders.
You’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying.
- 7+ years’ post-graduate experience in commercial or contract administration roles.
- Proven experience managing accounts within structural trades & FRP (formwork, concrete, reinforcement).
- Solid understanding of Schedule of Rates and Lump Sum Contracts.
- Familiarity with Jobpac or similar project management systems (preferred).
