Key Responsibilities:
For Intermediate Level:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, builders, and sub-contractors to understand project requirements and deliver seamless, integrated hydraulic designs.
- Assist in the development and review of hydraulic system designs, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian standards, building codes, and workplace health and safety legislation.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to effective communication of complex technical information to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
- Support senior engineers in project delivery and problem-solving.
- Take a proactive approach, being accountable and seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- Trade experience "on the tools" background is highly favourable.
For Senior Level:
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert in hydraulic system design, providing technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead the development and review of complex hydraulic system designs, ensuring strict compliance with relevant Australian standards, building codes, and workplace health and safety legislation.
- Effectively communicate complex technical information to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, taking a leadership role in technical discussions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and team members, demonstrating a proactive and accountable approach.
- Independently manage ambiguity, make critical decisions, and provide mentorship to junior team members.
- Take the lead in seeking and implementing feedback to enhance personal and professional growth.
- Be readily available to support and collaborate with other engineering disciplines as needed.
- Trade experience "on the tools" background is highly favourable.
Qualifications and Skills:

For Intermediate Hydraulic Design Engineer:
- A relevant technical qualification, such as an engineering degree or equivalent.
- Accreditation under the Fire Protection Accreditation Scheme with the Fire Protection Association Australia (preferred).
- Min 3-5+ years of recent hydraulic design engineering experience, with exposure throughout the sector: Aged Care, Residential, Mixed Use, Commercial etc
- Strong understanding of Building Services project phases and delivery methods.
- Familiarity with hydraulic system construction processes, defect reporting, and system commissioning.
- The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
For Senior Hydraulic Design Engineer:
- A relevant technical qualification, such as an engineering degree or equivalent.
- Accreditation under the Fire Protection Accreditation Scheme with the Fire Protection Association Australia (preferred).
- 8+ years of recent hydraulic design engineering experience, with a proven track record of leading projects in various sectors.
- Expert-level understanding of Building Services project phases and delivery methods.
- Proficiency in hydraulic system construction processes, defect reporting, and system commissioning.
- The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a history of mentoring and leadership.
