Are you an experienced Crane Mechanic, Plant Fitter, or Diesel Mechanic looking to join a well-established and growing hire company? Our client supplies modern, high-performance equipment to infrastructure, construction, and civil projects across Australia, and they’re on the lookout for skilled mechanics to keep the fleet running at its best.
  
With a national footprint and strong pipeline of work, you’ll be servicing and maintaining everything from mobile and tower cranes to excavators, dozers, loaders, and dump trucks, working both in the workshop and out in the field on client sites.
  
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Service, inspect, and repair a wide range of heavy equipment and cranes
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
  • Respond to field breakdowns and emergency callouts
  • Conduct pre-hire inspections and post-hire checks
  • Coordinate with the service team on scheduling, parts, and job planning
  • Ensure all work meets compliance, safety, and OEM standards
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Support workshop operations and assist in rebuilds or major overhauls
What You’ll Need
  • Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Diesel Fitter / Plant Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle)
  • 3–5+ years’ experience working on cranes, plant, or civil machinery
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems
  • White Card – Essential
  • Driver’s Licence – Essential
  • Ability to travel for site or remote work as needed
